I started Books n Bobs in July 2016 as a Facebook shop with less than 100 books in stock. The idea was born out of a passion for reading and book shopping. I love to read and buy books, so, what better way to combine my passion for a job? Now I have the perfect excuse to buy, buy, buy!! And buy I did, as we now have 1000s of books in stock and continue to add more books regularly.
As a bookworm and book hoarder, I always struggle to buy all the books I want with the limited resources that I have. With a relatively high price, I was less willing to try out new and unknown books/authors. Buying second-hand books become the best solution. Plus, I’d like to think we are giving a book a new life when it gets passed to another reader to be read and cherished. That is why Books n Bobs specializes in second-hand books, which make up about 90% of our stock.
In March 2019, our website booksnbobs.com was launched. Up till that point, our orders were increasing and I was finding it hard to cope without jeopardizing the quality of service. My husband, Steve, and I worked nonstop for months to get the website up. With the website handling the ordering and some admin work, we can now work faster, serve more customers and deliver more joy to you!

Since we carry both new and secondhand books, we have included the condition of each and every book on the individual book’s page. All books are carefully checked and graded according to our internal guidelines. They are categorized into 5 condition categories, namely Brand New, Like New, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable.
