Sell Your Secondhand Books
We buy secondhand books in wholesale quantities (50 - 1000 books) at wholesale prices, which will be determined by the title, condition and current demand of the books. Send in some photos of your books for evaluation. We will offer you a bundle price (RM1 - RM3 per book on average) and make payment by online transfer after delivery of your books.
HOW TO SELL?
Read the information below, then contact us with the necessary information via Whatsapp
STEP-BY-STEP
Step 1 - Snap photos of your books, showing CLEARLY the titles on the spine and edges of the book (refer to sample photos below).
Step 2 - Contact us by Whatsapp (https://wa.me/601111765095) indicating the number of books and your location.
Step 3 - We will offer a bundle for the books based on your photos. The usual average price is RM1-3 per book, depending on the quality of the books and current demand.
Step 4 - Collection/Delivery - pick up service is available for area within 10km radius from Taman Desa, K.L. We will collect the books by Grab Express or a transporter.
If you are located outside of our pick up zone, kindly drop off the books at our warehouse in 37-1, Jalan Desa, Taman Desa, 58100 KL.
Step 5 - Payment will be made by online transfer after inspection of the physical books. Please allow 3-5 working days for the inspection. We reserve the right to reject any book that fails to meet our requirements below. The final price might be affected if some books are rejected.
PHOTO GUIDELINES
The photos will help us assess and price the books. Stack 10 books in a stack. Take a photo of the 4 sides of the books i.e. the spine, top edge, fore edge and bottom edge. Please ensure the titles of the books on the spine is clear and readable.
REJECTED CONDITIONS
While we try to give all books a new home, there is a point at which the condition of the book means we can't sell it. Books with the following conditions and damages will be rejected.
1.) Heavy Foxing
While foxing is to be expected in a humid country like Malaysia, we do NOT accept books with heavy foxing in the condition shown here.
2.) Damaged Books
Obviously when people buy books from us, we want to ensure they are happy with their purchase, so we must exclude books that are very damaged.
3.) Counterfeit, Copied or Published for Free
Counterfeit and copied books are often done so illegally, so that is something we cannot sell. And also if a book has been made available free of charge, we can't in good conscience sell these books either.
FAQ
Q1: I HAVE LESS THAN 50 BOOKS. CAN I SELL THEM TO YOU?
A: We prefer large quantities to justify the wholesale prices and transport charges. Batches fewer than 50 books will be accepted as donation only.
Q2: WHAT KIND OF BOOKS DO YOU BUY?
A: Only English books and We do NOT accept the following:
1. Children's books (for children below 10y.o.)
2. Textbooks
3. Cook books
4. Travel books
5. Non-English books (except Malay books)
6. Dictionary
7. Magazine
8. Coffee-table books
9.Badly damaged books (i.e. missing/loose/torn/heavily scribbled pages)
Remember if you wouldn't buy them, please don't sell them.
Q3: DO YOU ACCEPT BOOK DONATIONS?
A: Yes, we do. Part of the proceeds will be shared with our charity partner Rumah KIDS, a shelter for underprivileged and abused children.
We urge that you please follow the same condition requirements as outlined above.
Books that are rejected will be donated or send for recycling. Pick up service is available for 100 books and above, for locations within 15km radius of Taman Desa, K.L.
