is dedicated to helping the world's most revered healers, shamans, medicine people, and leaders of complementary medicine tell their stories. The series is a project of the Ringing Rocks Foundation, an organization that supports the survival and future development of global healing wisdom through education, research, and special projects.
Women and men healers of Bali, called Balians, discuss their healing practice and share some of the visions that taught them their way of life. In addition, the Lontar, a sacred text consisting of etchings on dried palm leaves will be shown and its teachings about healing will be discussed. Illustrated by photo- graphic portraits and sacred art, and accompanied by an audio CD of traditional music and readings from the Lontar, this volume provides a penetrating examination of the ancient healing practices of Bali.
