Section I of this book highlights some issues involving the influence of biology on intelligence and social achievement, as they have emerged in Singapore and Malaysia today, paying special attention to Premier Lee Kuan Yew's eugenicist policies. The scientific basis for such claims are critically examined in sec tion II. Finally, some social and ideological implications of such beliefs about human biology are reviewed in section III.
