Description
Tan Liong Tong is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting & Finance, Faculty of Economics & Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is a Council member of the MACPA, a member of the MIA and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia. He participates actively in the works of the accountancy profession in Malaysia. He serves or has served in various working committees of the professional accountancy bodies and these include the Accounting and Auditing Standards Committees of the MIA and the MACPA, the MACPA'S Educational Trust Fund Research Board, the Editorial Advisory Panel of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia, and external examiner and academic advisor for several colleges and institutions. He previously served as a Technical Consultant to the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board.
