The operations centre focuses the collective strengths of the personnel whose lives are devoted to British American Racing's millennium mission: to succeed at the pinnacle of motorsport.
"I think this is by far the best working environment in motorsport anywhere in the world," says Ron Meadows, now Factory Manager of the head- quarters he helped create in a remarkably short time. For 11 months during 1998, Ron took on the role of site manager, as 250 tonnes of reinforcing steel, 1,610 square metres of glass and 120,000 metres of cable and wire were used to transform a green field into this 12,550 square metre state-of- the-art facility.
