This fuse manual is not a comprehensive document helping to find the appropriate fuse for each application. It rather provides information to what must be paid attention with the selection of the appropriate fuse, and it helps to identify problematic non-standard application, and to ask manufacturers the proper questions.
Topics not covered or difficult to find in fuse standards are also mentioned in this manual. Some key data that fuse users should have at hand are listed in table form. In addition, some specific German fuse applications are addressed which, though of importance to users, have never found their way into any international standard.
