The author, a practising Buddhist has been a devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for the past 30 yearsShe pioneered the setting up of the Surya Foundation. Sri Lankain 1995 which provides educational, infrastructural and other support to the poor. Weekly medical clinics 'Sathya Sai Suwa Seva", blessed by Bhagawan are conducted regularly with a high success rate in healings due to the blessings of Bhagawan.In addition she has written many articles on the Life andTeachings of Bhagawan, one which appeared in "The EternalCharioteer 1990".On the 4th of April 1997 at an interview with Bhagawan, she had presented this set of poems to Him. This is what she says of the experience; "Bhagawan was seated on His usual chair in the inner room at Prashanthi Nilayam. We the family members were seated at His Feet. I gave Him the file of poems. He took it and kept on His lap and turned the pages. The first verse was 'Divine Love'. Bhagawan read it aloud and said Very Good. Very Good' and added on:Love is GodGod is LoveYou are God
Live in Love'Very Happy. Very Happy'. He said again and signed the blank page across With Blessings and Love Sri Sathya Sal"." After coming home and going through the book she realised that the few lines 'Seated on the Sands..... fitted perfectly at the top of the page signed by our Lord.
