We are pleased to offer this collection of texts from the Bible to all Pilgrims of the year 2000, as a sign of fraternal communion and goodwill. Together with those Christians from all communities which consider the Holy Scriptures to be the foundation of their faith, we want to share our most precious belief in the Word of the Father, through which He reaches out to us with His indescribable love. Christ comes to meet us and to speak to us today and forever. The Spirit reveals the message of the Word, so that it may be meaningful to us.
