Description
Investment Appraisal and Financing Decisions provides a thorough grounding in the concepts and principles of financial decision making. It is intended for university and polytechnic students on introductory courses in financial management, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Recommended by the ACCA and CIMA, it will also be invaluable to those studying for the intermediate and final year professional examinations of all the major accountancy bodies.
The book is practical in approach, using examples from the real world to clarify theory. A selective bibliography is provided to allow easy access to the original historical material and to some of the latest areas of research. Mathematical analysis is kept to a minimum and is always introduced in context.
For this fourth edition a new chapter on the capital structure decision in practice has been added. There are worked examples and questions and exercises, many from the examinations of the ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA. Answers to all the end of chapter questions are available in a new Students' Manual to accompany the text.
