Dato Dr Haji Mohd Eusoff bin Mohd Yusuff (1897-1957), the fourteenth Dato Panglima Kinta, is a son of Kulop Mohd Yusuff, the tenth Dato Panglima Kinta, territorial Lord of Kinta, Perak. His lineage may be traced back to the sixteenth century. He was handsome, charming. courageous and self-possessed; a dutiful husband and father; and a man imbued with humanity and kindness despite his stem demeanour.
Lord of Kinta: The Biography of Dato Panglima Kinta Eusoff is a fitting tribute to a man who, in his own unassuming way. played a vital role in shaping the course of Malaysian history, especially in the educational and social development of Malaysia. Though born to a rich aristocratic family, he much preferred to serve the community in various capacities in government and voluntary services. He was never a politician nor a seeker of popularity.
