This collection of selected articles by Kua Kia Soong is the second reprint of his 1986 title Of Myths and Mystification.
Interest in Dr. Kua's writings has increased after the publication of his most recent, 445 Days Behind The Wire, an account of his detention experiences under the Internal Security Act from October 1987 to January 1989. In fact, the charges in his ISA detention order were related to views expressed in these articles.
The range of issues expressed in this collection reveals a concern for Malaysia, her peoples as well as a deep sense of internationalism. His efforts at exploding myths and mystifications are to him no more than the ordinary citizen's duty to speak out in the defence of truth, freedom, democracy, human rights and social justice.
