Nibbana or the Kingdom? should have wide circulation, especially among Church-Council Christians. In Ceylon itself, it should appeal to Buddhists no less than to Christians. In it Mr. Baptist has done much to place the Doctrine of the Christos in proper relationship with the Buddha Dhamma. His handling of the matter of the early Fathers of the Christian tradition is praiseworthy. So, too, is his exposition of Christian teachings relating to Karma. His treatment of the St. Xavier problem is of peculiar value, and should interest Catholics as well as anthropologists. The appeal of the book is, indeed, as world-wide as humanity itself.
