Description
Detective Andy Sipowicz has a thirst for booze that threatens to wash him out of the NYPD - and a hatred of a mobster named Alphonse Giardella who laughs at the law and even harder at the cop who dreams of nailing him.
Detective John Kelly has a marriage splitting at the seams, a partner coming apart before his eyes, and an image of his cop-hero father crumbling to dust with every new revelation of corruption.
And both of them have a very big problem when the stoolie they are guarding is shot, and they have to turn the streets of the city upside-down to shake loose the killer and shake up the mob that rules the town.
