Description
David Swain's earliest satire ("short, nervous pieces") appeared in Punch in post-war London.
Then in his twenties, he wondered if success had come too soon. He has since published five books, including the brilliant Cantbe- worried Tales. He has cartooned, written verse and prose for various publica tions, and contributed to radio and TV.
He is particularly popular in Canberra where his cartoons and columns help to enliven a company town.
For a living, he lectures in professional writing at the College of Advanced Education. For fun and immortality he does things like this book.
Now in his fifties, he wonders if success has come too late.
