corporations by corporations Wall Street and capitalism have elevated
materialism and economic growth to the rank of a new religion of the land.
Money became the ultimate measure of success. In Wall Street capitalism,
citizens are incidental numbers on balance sheets. Materialism became "a
tumor in the soul".
Like most religions, Islam's vision is based on
justice, equality and compassion These Islamic values of 1.2 billion Muslims
stand in the way of globalization and capitalist values where everybody abides
by the gospel of Wall Street. For this reason, Islam was painted as the enemy.
