This catalog covers all the postage stamps re- leased by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of PRC from Oct. 1949 to Jan. 5, 2000.
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has decided that from 1992 onwards all of the Commemorative and Special Stamps to be issued are numbered in chronological order. Besides, the word "CHINA" is also new on the stamps and "the People's Post of China" has been substituted with "China Post".
