MIKE LEE is the founder and Managing Director of CTLA Financial Planners Sdn. Bhd. (a licensed financial planning company). He has more than 25 years of experience in the corporate sector in various senior positions, including at board level. He is a practising and licensed financial planner (CFP), a practising Chartered Secretary (FCIS) and is also a Chartered Marketer (Dip.M, MCIM). He was formerly Deputy Chairman of FPAM-KL Chapter and actively involved in 2002-3.
Mike contributes regularly to the Sin Chew Business News (weekend edition) with his solutions to readers' financial problems in their daily lives. He has been featured in several issues of The Edge's Personal Money about his views on investments in unit trusts, property and medical insurance as gifts for parents. He has contributed his views about insurance and other financial matters in Female magazine. He was also interiewed by The Oriental Daily about financial planning as a career and profession. He wrote an article entitled 'To Practise or Not to Practise' in FPAM's 4E Journal, December 2004 issue, about his views on financial planning for the new CFPS (those who have just graduated and are contemplating starting a practice).
Mike Lee is also the creator and author of the CTL Workbook (in CD format) that is very rich in ideas and concepts about investment in unit trusts. It is used regularly in the technical training programme 'The Making of the Good Consultant'. The CTL Workbook was developed over 7-8 years based on his personal experience in marketing both unit trusts and insurance products, as well as from the constant feedback from consultants working under his supervision, and other users. The Workbook has been very well received by unit trust consultants and financial planners alike, who have benefited substantially from its effective and yet simple-to-understand applications.
