Skylanders: Universe, originally called Skylanders: Spyro's Universe, was an online RPG set in Beta, it was available at the official Universe website. Unlike Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders: Giants, it did not require a Portal of Power to play (although swapping and registering Skylanders could have been faster with one).
When the Skylanders were banished from Skylands, it didn't just change everything in their world; it also changed everything in ours.
Defeated in battle by the evil Kaos, the heroic Skylanders were sucked through time and space to a bewildering alien planet. That planet was Earth! It didn't help matters for the Skylanders that they were also frozen solid, unable to make their way home.
But help was at hand in the form of the next generation of Portal Masters... you! Using the ancient and mystical Portal of Power, you can bring the Skylanders to life and transport them back to Skylands, where a rematch with Kaos awaits. Once home, with a little help from you and their ethereal mentor, Master Eon, the Skylanders can set about restoring peace to their incredible realm of floating islands.
