Catholics have been the target of attacks from many quarters. They have been accused of worshipping three Gods, of worshipping the Virgin Mary, of idol worship, of hiding the Bible truth from people, of placing tradition above the Word of God etc. Many Catholics with a superficial knowledge of their faith have been confused and feel troubled.
This small book by Jesuit Father Paul Tan Chee Ing is to help these Catholics. It tries to tackle the main areas of dispute and clarify the issues with quotes from the Bible, with evidences from the earliest Christian documents, with philosophical arguments and with theological expositions. The book hopes to help Catholics understand their own faith better so that they will neither fear attacks from others nor feel compelled to counter-attack.
