Description
We have no business writing a preface for The Assertive Woman. After all, we are not women, and if there is anything assertive women do not need it is to lean on men! Yet we have a legitimate purpose in these words, both as
publishers and as proponents of assertion. In the years since Your Perfect Right was first published, the movement of, by, and for women to achieve independent, assertive personhood has been nothing short of phenomenal. Indeed, although we have been told that some women find Your Perfect Right to be sexist (partially in the use of masculine pronouns), we know that much of the success of IMPACT'S first book has been due to its adoption by women as a guidebook for personal growth in assertiveness.
