ZANDERS is one of the world's leading fine paper producers and we intend to maintain this role well into the next millennium. To achieve this we will ensure ful filment of creative requirements of the design world of today and tomorrow. We will do this consis tently and responsively and with new and even better products.
In the summer of 1998 we introduced a breakthrough inno vation to the world market. The name: CHROMOLUX XtAsilk. We are the leading producer of cast-coated products and our brandname CHROMOLUX is synonym for absolute high gloss and smoothness. Yet we are now the first to produce an original cast-coated paper with silky matt finish, which is just as smooth. This paper is completely different both in appearance and feel to anything before it and is highly valued as an alternative by people involved in creative design.
At the end of September we sponsored a ZANDERS Interna tional Design Contest under the heading of Book of Silk. The result was extremely impressive. Despite the time constrictions - the deadline for entries was 12th December the response to the competition was extremely large with 600 parties from a wide range of European countries responding. We eventually recei ved 170 entries within the given deadline.
