The Canons of the Church of England

The Convocations of Canterbury and York have completed their revision of the Canons of the Church of England, a task begun in 1947. The four sections of Canons promulged in May 1969 now take their place alongside those promulged in 1964. This new book of Canons, containing the whole code, replaces the Constitutions and Canons Ecclesiastical of 1603 as the authoritative statement of the rules governing the Church's life and worship.
