Manwel Haber is a prolific playwright. He has to his credit several plays broadcasted on radio and on Television. His favourite for the Radio is "IL-FORZA TAD-DJALOGU and for the Television, BAHAR IMQALLEB". He also wrote several plays for the Stage including "IBEN IL-MAGฤฆTUBA" an allegory about Malta's poli- tical situation covering 16 years of the most crucial period in the history of Malta between 1958 and 1974 when the George Cross Island became a Republic. Haber's plays are based on social and political life as inspired by his beliefs and surroundings. Won first prize in a National Drama competition sponsored by the Ministry of Culture with his Television Play "JUM IL-HELSIEN He obtained his education at the Government Elementary School, the Dockyard College and at the Polytechnic. He lived in Australia for five years where he acted as Justice of the Peace and served as an interpreter to the Maltese Community. Manwel Haber has been working at Xandir Malta (Broadcasting House) for the last 27 years and he is at present Head of the Television Sales Department He is 58 years of age, married to Joan nee Arpa and has a son, Mark.ISBN: GREENLIGHT
