Music plays an important role in the lives of God's people. In the Old Testament, musicians often accompanied the armies of Israel into battle as seen in the capture of Jericho recorded in the book of Joshua. And whenever the Lord gave success, they celebrated their victories with joyous singing and praises. We are also encouraged by the Apostle Paul, "...speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord" Ephesians 5:19
We trust that this New Gospel Singout will be our companion through many spiritual victories even as we reach out to the young people of this generation and into the new millennium. May the songs in this Singout bring celebration, comfort, counsel and conviction to those who use it.
We want to also record our thanks to a group of our Youth Fellowship Council members for their perseverance, effort and teamwork to make this publication possible.
We praise God for this new Singout (3rd edition) and may we always sing to glorify His Name and build the fellowship of God's people.
