The Word for "confession" is "homologeo", meaning "to agree with" or "say the same thing that God says." When you say what God says, you can change the circumstances of your life with His Word. You are not denying the circumstances; rather you are confessing what God says about the situation and since God cannot lie, His Word shall come to pass in your life.
