Through Mary the rosary brings us to Jesus. That is the purpose of this book: by meditating with Mary on a mystery of the rosary each night, the family will come closer to her son, putting him at the centre of their family life.
The formula used for each mystery. New Testament reading, family discussion and one decade of the rosary has been found most successful by member families of the Family Prayer Mission in several parishes.

Wal Maggs lives with his wife and family at West Ryde, Sydney, N.S.W. He is a primary teacher working for the Catholic Education Office and teaching in one of their schools in Sydney.
A number of articles on family prayer have been written by Mr Maggs and published in several Catholic magazines and newspapers in Australia and New Zealand. The author has been involved in the family apostolate for some years now and commenced the Family Prayer Mission, a lay organisation dedicated to encouraging families to pray in their homes and which has spread to a number of parishes.
