Description
This wonderful and previously unseen anthology from the Spike Milligan archives, uncovers an invaluable collection of unpublished material from one of Britain's best-loved comedians.
'Box 18' was a file into which the highly prolific Spike would put his writing and drawings as they came to him, but which never came to be published before his death. Selected and edited by Norma Farnes, Milligan's manager, biographer and lifelong friend, Box 18 draws on previously unseen diaries and letters from friendly correspondence with Paul McCartney to irate exchanges with the Accounts Department at Harrod's and his stories and drawings for children. Also included are poems and lyrics, Goon Show scripts and photographs from his public and private life.
As both an original anthology and a personal legacy from a long- gone era, Box 18 is absolutely unmissable.
