The set contains three books written by Msgr. Philip Heng, A. J. It is a collection of his homilies in three volumes.

A Malaysian-born Singaporean, Msgr. Philip Heng, S.J. joined the Jesuits in July 1983 upon completing his professional Chartered Certified Accountancy degree (ACCA) in 1982. He began his religious life as a Jesuit in the Novitiate in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and thereafter, continued his lormation in philosophical and theological studies with MA, STB and STL degrees from the Jesuil-run Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Ile was ordained on 14 May, 199%; and upon completing his studies, he did his 'Tertianship in Northern Ireland and further spiritual formation in Dublin.

In June 199%, his Jesuit Superior appointed him to be the Novice Master of the Jesuit Novitiate of the Malaysia-Singapore Region which also served other Jesuit novices from Asia-Pacific, especially from East Timor. Six months later he took his Jesuit solemn vows profession on 9 December: Over the course of his twelve-and-a-half- year tenure, he formed 67 novices.

He was appointed the Parish Priest of the Jesuit-run Church St. Ignatius in Singapore on 1 April, 2009 where he served for six and a half years. On 18 May, 20I3 upon his Episcopal Ordination, Archbishop William Goh of Singapore appointed him as his Vicar General for Administration, Ecumenical and Intereligious relations; and thereafier, as the Rector of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd of the Arclhdiocese of Singapore on 1 April, 2016 and additionally, as Rector of St Joseph's Church (Victoria St) on 19 Mareh, 2017 The contractual tenure of all his offices with the archdiocese ended on 30 June, 2020.

He began his Sabbatical year on 1 July, 2020 und continues his future missions with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits").
