Description
When I wrote True Singapore Ghost Stories Book 1, I really had no idea that the interest would be so overwhelming. I was happy that readers were just as enthusiastic about the sequel, Book 2. Thanks for your contributions to this third collection. I must say, a lot of the stories sent in were very good indeed!
Although you might be thrilled at having your contributions published, please don't go looking for ghosts on purpose so you can submit more stories about them, okay?
I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if you landed in any sort of trouble because of it. Any- way, I've asked my publishers to record your names in this book. It's my way of saying "thank you".
Hunting out ghost stories still makes me very edgy and wary. My overactive imagination gets the better of me most times. Once, when I was working late into the night on the stories, I decided to take a break and go walkabout.
When I reached the bottom of my block, I met an old lady waiting to take the lift up. I had never met her before nor seen her since. The strange thing was that she greeted me, calling me by my name! I swear I had never met her before.
After my short walk, I decided to use the stairs to my flat instead. The next day, I saw her picture in The Straits Times obituary column. She had been dead for exactly two years!
