When Yuri's stepson started asking questions about the differences he observed between Yuri and his biological mother, at the tender age of 3 years old, Yuri didnโt have anything to turn to. She had to go to the extent of writing a storybook (because he gravitated towards books) to help him understand who she was. Since she self-published the book, many other stepparents have come forth with the same circumstances too.
Yuri has had readers that shared their compliments on how their stepchildren, pre-schoolers, were able to show more positive affection towards them after reading her book. It brought families closer โ and it gives hope for children, from divorced family backgrounds, knowing that they are blessed to have more than one parent.
Yuri wants the chance to be a part of the change of perception toward stepparents through this book.
