After "Attitudes", "Moments", the name of this exhibition seemed obvious to me: "Presence"
In my studio, surrounded by my team, deliberately isolated from the outer world during periods of creation, I work in tune with the presence of the living world that invades me, blends into me and around me. I focus on the echoes of this inner vibration and let that intuition overwhelm me and guide my thoughts and hands.
I feel the presence of the wind in the trees, the sun's changing reflections, the blossoming flowers, the withering leaves, the soil drying out or soaking up water at the whim of seasons and latitudes. I feel the presence of the relics of the past, apparently lifeless objects, that still vibrate, tarnish, and remind me of this continuous chain through the ages during which men and women listened to that inner voice to write, paint, compose, sculpt...
