Description
This book is a biblical analysis of the chronological development of Jesus' ministry to the Twelve. Beginning with the preaching of John, the author traces their growth through seven successive steps to the day of Pentecost. Understanding these stages of growth in knowledge and application is aided by the inclusion of significant data from the rest of the New Testament. Major principles of discipleship are then related to the various steps of growth. Also, the book analyzes the current crisis in church ministry and offers a strategy for applying the same progression of steps today.
"Carl Wilson's book is a comprehensive, scholarly, biblical study of Christian discipleship. It is an excellent guide for pastors, churches, and seminarians."

"Wilson has captured the drive, mechanics, and genius of the Savior's powerful discipling of men. Our students appreciate the book's theological thoroughness and reality orientation."
Dr. Warren S. Benson

"Much is being said about discipleship today but nothing so comprehensive, so clear, and so biblically oriented as the program presented by Carl Wilson."
Dr. Charles Stanley Pastor, First Baptist Church Atlanta, Georgia
"In this study, Carl Wilson has sought to discover and state the method used by Jesus to train first the twelve apostles, then the seventy, and then succeeding groups of disciples. Those who take the time to master this discipleship method and put it into practice will be rewarded richly."
