Women for Change and Empowerment (W4CE) is the product of a series of roundtables held through 2018 and 2019 by PCORE, building from our initial report on women's empowerment released in 2017. This book presents chapters written by participants of the Expert Roundtable and interviews with male allies. Five areas of concern are highlighted, where the voices of wornen and men alike are loud and clear on topics related to Governance and Integrity, Sociocultural and Religious Perspectives, Economic Empowerment, Education and the Law.
The diverse perspectives in this volume advocate for a shared vision of change and empowerment, providing suggestions, encouragement and inspiration for those who envision a brighter future for women and girls. It is PCORE's hope that this publication will be a small but meaningful contribution towards a more equitable future, by discussing how Malaysian women can progress in various areas, including politics, economics, education, and law.
